Welcome to BIKE & HIKE – home of the SkegVegas100 and the ‘Amble to Ashbourne’ 20 or 13 Mile Walk
Now firmly established as a highlight of the fundraising calendar, BIKE & HIKE brings you two fantastic charity challenges – all in support of Derby Children’s Holiday Centre and Derby Kids Camp.
Take on the iconic 100-mile SkegVegas charity bike ride from Derby to Skegness, or join the ‘Amble to Ashbourne’ – now available as either a full 20-mile walk or a new 13-mile option. Both follow the famous Bonnie Prince Charlie route (in reverse), starting in Derby and winding through the stunning Derbyshire countryside toward Ashbourne.
The new 13-mile Amble opens the event to an even wider audience – perfect for those who want the atmosphere, challenge, and fundraising impact of the day without committing to the full 20 miles. Walkers on the 13-mile route finish at the lunch stop and return to Derby by coach, while the 20-mile walkers continue on to Ashbourne.
Get ready to pedal or hike through breathtaking landscapes and coastal views – all for a great cause. Both events start from Derby Arena, Pride Park Stadium between 6:30 and 7:30am on Saturday 16th May 2026, with finishes at either the Derby Children’s Holiday Centre in Skegness or the picturesque market town of Ashbourne.
