This two-day practical workshop is designed for those looking to understand the real role of a Costume Supervisor within theatre production. Taking place at our London Bridge studio, the course focuses on the organisational, collaborative and logistical skills needed to successfully supervise costumes from prep through to previews and opening.
Across two full days, we will cover how to organise yourself and the job, work effectively with costume designers, and make informed decisions around shopping versus making. You’ll gain a clear understanding of budget breakdowns and cost reporting, managing spend throughout the process, and supporting both creative and practical needs.
The workshop will also explore working with cast, running fittings and managing fitting photos, liaising with wardrobe teams, and overseeing costumes through tech and previews. We’ll break down essential paperwork including building a costume bible, managing continuity, and preparing for understudies.
This course is ideal for emerging costume supervisors, assistants, and those looking to step into supervisory roles within theatre.
Limited to 20 spaces.
