Joyfull Greens – Cooking for Carers: Connect, Cook & Recharge

Start the new year by investing in your wellbeing. Take time for yourself and join our friendly cooking session designed especially for unpaid carers in Surrey.

This isn’t just a cooking class — it’s a chance to connect with others, learn healthy habits, and enjoy nourishing food. Together, we’ll create simple, wholesome dishes guided by a nutrition coach, in a friendly and supportive space.

No experience needed. All ingredients provided. Just bring your energy and appetite!


Who is this for?

Unpaid carers living in Surrey who want:

  • A friendly, interactive cooking session
  • Tips for healthy, nutritious, affordable, plant-based meals
  • A chance to recharge and share good food with others


What to expect

  • Welcome drink & chat
  • Cook in pairs — enjoy the flow of chopping and stirring together
  • Share and savour our creations as a group
  • Bring containers for leftovers to take home
  • Leave feeling energised, nourished, and inspired

11:00 AM – Cooking begins

12:30 PM – Shared meal

Attached to the Godalming Borough Hall, Located across from Waitrose.

(Towards Midhurst/Ockford Ridge/Farnham) Bus Stop: The Square -a 3 minute walk to the Denningberg Centre.

  • Inform us of any allergies on the order form
  • Important: This class uses induction hobs, which may interfere with pacemakers. If you have a pacemaker or similar medical device, please let us know in advance so we can make suitable arrangements.

Cancellations

If you can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list. These classes are free but spaces are limited — your courtesy helps another carer benefit from this session.
