Join us for an inspiring session showcasing how CSA Africa is empowering the next generation of African tech talent

Welcome to the CSA Africa Showcase!

CSA Africa is a transformative international outreach initiative under the School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. Founded by Dr. Sofiat Olaosebikan, the initiative is driven by her personal journey of overcoming limited access to computing education in Nigeria to become an academic in the field. Her story fuels our commitment to bridging the tech education gap across Africa, ensuring that young Africans have the opportunity to build successful careers in technology.

Our Impact So Far

Since 2018, CSA Africa has raised over £150,000 in funding and delivered 5 intensive Python programming workshops across the continent (Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, and online), empowering 700+ young Africans with technical skills and opening doors to careers in technology. Our 2025 workshop in Nairobi achieved 51% female representation and brought together participants from 9 African countries.

This showcase event brings together the CSA Africa community to celebrate our impact, share powerful stories, and explore how you can be part of our next chapter.

Be Part of What's Next

CSA Africa is growing, and we need collaborators to scale our impact across the continent.

Invest in our vision: Support and help us to expand our reach in addressing critical educational gaps across the continent while participating in our growth as we transition to a sustainable social enterprise.

Volunteer as a tutor: Ideal for PhD students, postdocs, and academics seeking international teaching experience and professional development.

Partner with us: Schools/Colleges/Universities can sponsor their students or staff to join us as tutors; organisations can sponsor their employees, fund scholarships, equipment, and participant support.

Please join us at the showcase to learn how you can contribute.
