Welcome to the Birmingham Playtest UK meetup, hosted at Griffins Gaming in Birmingham city centre.
We welcome anyone to this event:
If you're a game designer, bring your game to playtest (see limitations below).
If you're a board games enthusiast, come ready to playtest and see the newest games out there.----What will happen at the event?----
Board game designers will have 1 hour to playtest their game. It can be at any stage of development - most will be home-made, sometimes even handwritten on cards and scraps of paper but some games will be a little more polished.Playtesters, the designer will typically teach you their game. You might play the full game or a few rounds depending on what feedback the designer needs and the length of the game. You'll then be asked what you thought of the game in a short debrief session.
As a game designer, please plan to attend the entire event (6pm-9pm) and playtest other designer's games. This helps ensure we have enough playtesters for everyone's game.We may be able to accommodate games with a higher player count or a longer game time, but by default expect to have 1 hour for setup, teaching, testing, and feedback.
We playtest on the second and final Thursday of every month.
