The second annual Festival of the Local: By the local, for the local is coming back bigger and better than ever! The festival kicks off March 19th and the celebration rolls through March 29th, honoring the creative people who make this community so special. This year, we’re stoked to feature 80 local performers from Saranac Lake and the surrounding areas—artists who proudly call this place home.
We’ve got a stacked lineup with ticketed shows in the Upstairs Music Lounge, plus we’re excited to introduce free shows downstairs. We’re also hosting our very first ALL AGES concert, doubling as a fundraiser for Play ADK, because lifting up local creativity starts early. Rounding things out, we’ll be hosting a special book talk with local authors Curt Stager and David Fadden, exploring their book First Adirondackers: 12,000 Years of Indigenous Peoples in the Adirondack Uplands.
And that’s not all—David Sommersetien will be doing a LIVE BROADCAST of The Beat Authority from downstairs, bringing the festival energy straight to the NCPR airwaves. This fest is all about community, creativity, and celebrating the voices that make Saranac Lake what it is. Mark your calendars, spread the word, and come celebrate local with us!
