Friends of Shenfield Library are delighted to welcome Tom Hodgkinson back to Essex for an amazing classical guitar concert at Shenfield Library!

After finishing his A Levels at Brentwood School, Tom continued his studies in Italy. In 2023 he moved to Austria studying with the world-famous Paolo Pegoraro at the prestigious Kunst Universität Graz. Tom also enjoys lessons with legendary guitarist, John Williams.

Tom has toured Spain with the National Youth Guitar Ensemble, and with the National Youth Orchestra playing at venues such as Bridgewater Hall and the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall. In 2022, Tom became the Essex Young Musician of the Year. In July 2025, Tom won First Prize at the Petrer International Youth Guitar Competition in Spain - in recognition of his growing reputation.
