Imagine a Sunday afternoon where you get to write, cook, and break bread with other creative people, all at a relaxed, nourishing pace. You don’t need to imagine, it’s here, come along! This retreat brings together poetry activities led by experienced City of Poets members with a hands-on cooking demonstration from the team behind feat.food.
You’ll leave fed in more ways than one – with new words on the page, a full belly, and a sense of having spent your Sunday well.
feat.food is a community-focused food project exploring how cooking and eating together can build connection, confidence, and wellbeing. Their work centres food as a creative and social practice, not just a practical one — using shared meals to open up conversations, stories, and relationships. Their collaboration with City of Poets brings together nourishment of the body and nourishment of the imagination.
This event runs as part of City of Poets Takeover of Knightswood Pavillion as they make February the COOLEST month.

Often called the cruelest month, February, with its dark nights, cold mornings, and that slow drag toward Spring. (unlike poet T S ELIOT who famously declared it to be April…)
For four weekends, the Pavilion in Knightswood Park becomes a hub for storytelling, sharing, learning, laughing, swapping, reading, crafting, and meeting new people who love words just as much as you do.
Whether you’ve been writing for years, just starting out, or simply enjoy being surrounded by creative energy, you’re welcome here.
