Did you know - around £42 million worth of unwanted Christmas presents are sent to UK landfill every year? We all feel the pressure to buy new at Christmas time. But from our experience, our loved ones really appreciate a handmade, thoughtful gift. It doesn't have to be complicated, or expensive.
Let's get together and make some simple gifts people will truly appreciate and use - and have a fun evening at the same time!
This event will be held at The Wardrobe and will be run jointly between Transition Dundee and the Dundee Changemakers Hub.
We'll provide all materials, plus light refreshments. You will go home with several lovely hand-made items, as well as plenty of ideas for more things you can make at home.
Let's have a more sustainable, less wasteful, Christmas this year!
This workshop is open to anyone over the age of 12, though 12 - 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.
Some activities will be held upstairs and some downstairs to allow for plenty of space for everyone. Please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues, although we will do all we can to help.
Transition Dundee is all about encouraging our community to reduce their environmental footprint so we do encourage participants to arrive by foot or bus where possible, if you need to drive there is paid car parking close by at Yeamans Shore or Greenmarket Car Parks.
