✨ Festive Charity Christmas Night Swim & Dip at Oldlands Lake ✨

Join outdoor and wild swim specialist Angela Jones and her expert safety team at the beautiful Oldlands Lake in Monmouthshire for a Magical Festive Christmas Night Swim/Dip.Whether you take a gentle dip or enjoy a longer swim, this enchanting evening is all about embracing nocturnal nature, boosting health and well-being, and celebrating the season together.

Set in a private 200-acre estate, the lake offers a stunning countryside setting with a changing hut and eco-toilet on site. Angela will share her 30+ years of winter swimming knowledge, guiding you through water entry and acclimatisation techniques. A fully qualified water safety team will be present throughout, so you can feel supported and safe.

The evening ends with a warming firepit, hot drinks, mulled wine, mince pies, and cake – the perfect festive treat after your dip!

• Please avoid chemical/perfumed products if entering the water.
• Wetsuits must be clean and fully dried to prevent cross-contamination.

The estate is just west of Dingestow, 6 km from Monmouth. Clear directions will guide you from the A40/A449 junction at Raglan (please drive carefully at this junction). PLEASE DO NOT GO DOWN PRIVATE DRIVE to house. PLEASE USE WHAT3WORDS///maddening.-modes.glare.

Look out for the Swim Wild sign at the entrance. Parking available at the visitor car park.

🧣 Equipment & What to Bring

• Arrive in swimsuit with warm layers on top
• Good walking boots/shoes for the 600m uneven, slippery walk to the lake (essential)
• Wetsuit (essential – available to hire)
• Tow float (supplied)
• Head torch (essential)
• Water shoes with grip
• Swim hat (essential)
• Towel
• Warm clothes & bobble hat for after your swim

✅ Participation Requirements

To join this event you must be able to swim 100m confidently. You’ll be asked to confirm this during registration.
