Join us for a vibrant and inspiring evening as Chord to Joy Music Studio presents its 2026 Chinese Lunar New Year Concert, a festive celebration of music that brings together opera, musical theatre, pop, choral, and art song repertoire in one dynamic program.
This concert is music-directed by Dr. Xiaoming Tian, baritone and founder of Chord to Joy Music Studio. Under his artistic direction, the evening brings together outstanding student performers, youth ensembles, and professional guest artists in a carefully curated program that bridges cultures, genres, and generations.
In addition to performances by Dr. Tian, the concert proudly features two distinguished guest artists:
a leading tenor from the American opera scene and a Broadway musical theatre performer, whose appearances form the major highlights of the evening.
The program spans a wide musical spectrum—from Chinese art songs and classical vocal works to Broadway favorites, popular music, and contemporary ensemble pieces. With children’s choir, youth performances, solo and ensemble singing, and large-scale choral moments, the concert offers a rich and engaging musical journey for audiences of all ages.
The evening culminates in a joyful grand choral finale with audience participation, celebrating the Lunar New Year through shared music, community, and inspiration.
