
Course Description
This is a 10-week course.
Zang Dance
This course is developed based on the Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance teaching material system of the Beijing Dance Academy, with a focus on traditional and representative of the Zang (Tibetan) movement combinations. Through training sessions that introduce the movement principles, dynamics, rhythm, and the unique cultural background of The Zang (Tibetan) dance, students will experience the most authentic forms of Tibetan dance and culture.
The course emphasizes bridging cognitive differences between Chinese and Western dance within a multicultural context, promoting cultural exchange, and deepening students’ understanding of Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance as well as their recognition of China’s diverse ethnic cultures.

In addition, the instructor may teach further material based on students’ individual preferences.
