What does a changing world order mean for the real lives of children?
Children and young people are often at the forefront of crises, from conflict to climate shocks, but their voices can be the most underrepresented. Cities for Children, a charity working to protect the ‘right to a childhood’ for those living in urban poverty, joins forces with The Conduit Club for changemakers to curate a panel exploring how to recentre children’s voices - and address a broader crisis of public empathy.
Speakers include Madeeha Ansari, whose work involves creating agency in playful learning programmes for children; award-winning playwright Peter Oswald, who recently directed the tour of "Welcome to Gaza;" and legal expert Liz Barratt, who has been navigating changing policies on immigration and refugee rights.
The venue will be the intimate "Library" space at the Conduit in Covent Garden, with a limited number of seats available for external guests. Together with the audience, the event seeks to explore creative solutions for children in an uncertain world, looking towards a brighter shared future.
