An uplifting selection of celebratory vocal and instrumental works, with works by Handel, Scarlatti, Telemann and Vivaldi.

An uplifting selection of vocal and instrumental works. Soprano Jane Burnell makes a welcome return, singing Bach’s Cantata Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen alongside vocal music by Handel and A. Scarlatti. Instrumental music includes Telemann’s Concerto for 3 violins and Vivaldi’s boisterous Concerto alla Rustica.

We’re delighted to announce that Liverpool String Academy, part of the charity Early Music As Education, will give a pre-concert performance at 6.45pm. Liverpool String Academy Orchestra is made up of children with a particular passion for historical performance. Earlier this year, we worked with Liverpool Academy in a side-by-side workshop, and were so impressed - and we’re sure you will be too!  Do join us when our doors open at 6.30pm, grab a drink from the bar, and enjoy music by Handel and Lully, performed by some early-music stars of the future!
