Two stations built side by side for different companies, eventually merged in the 1920s and for many people Victoria was from where they embarked on their first continental journey using the Night Ferry to France. There was glamour with the Orient Express travelling across Europe and the Imperial Airways Terminal put Victoria on map for air travel too.
