A gentle somatic yoga session with grounding movement and quiet rest alongside rescue cats.

What’s included

  • 60 minutes of gentle somatic yoga (Slow, grounding movement guided with choice and awareness)
  • 20 minutes of quiet rest and relaxation alongside our resident rescue cats
  • Free coffee & tea
  • A calm, welcoming environment designed for deep rest and ease

About The Session

The class is guided by Izzy, a somatic yoga teacher and holistic massage therapist based in Brighton, with over five years of experience in bodywork. Her approach encourages listening to the body, moving with choice, and practicing without pressure.

Suitable for all levels and bodies.

The session takes place alongside our resident rescue cats, who may be resting or moving quietly around the space. The gentle pace supports the wellbeing and safety of both humans and cats.

🐾 House Rules for Yoga Sessions

Our yoga sessions take place in the shared home of our resident rescue cats. These guidelines are here to ensure a calm, safe, and respectful experience for both humans and cats.

🧘 During the Session

  • Please follow the guidance shared by the yoga instructor at the beginning of the session, including any house rules relating to the cats.
  • The yoga practice is intentionally slow and gentle. If at any point a cat comes too close and you feel it could become distracting or unsafe, please pause your movement.
  • You may gently redirect a cat if you feel comfortable doing so, but this is not expected. The yoga instructor or a member of staff will be available to help if needed.
  • Please do not pick up, grab, or carry cats around the room.
  • Try to ignore the cats during the active yoga portion and allow them to go about their own business — resting, observing, or playing independently.

🌿 After the Session (Relaxation Time)

After the yoga practice, we allow time for rest and gentle interaction with the cats.

  • Always sanitise your hands before engaging with the cats.
  • Avoid disturbing cats who are sleeping or relaxing. This is their home, and we want them to feel safe and at ease.
  • Please do not pick up cats.
  • Please do not chase cats or force interaction.
  • If you’d like to interact, allow the cat to approach you first. Offer a finger for them to sniff and only gently stroke them if they show clear signs of comfort.
  • Do not force cuddles or handling — quiet presence is often more enjoyable for them.
  • You’re welcome to use the toys provided, while remaining mindful and calm.
  • Please give cats plenty of space and allow them to move freely.
  • Do not feed the cats — they are all on specific diets.
  • Please speak softly and keep noise levels low.

💛 Thank you

By following these guidelines, you help us create a peaceful, safe environment where both people and cats can relax and enjoy the session together. Thank you for respecting our space and our cats’ home.
