Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer have played for ceilidh dance at clubs, festivals and social events across the country. Musical chameleons, they regularly play for Ceilidh, Contra, ECD and Scandinavian dances. When the need calls, they have the right hats and indeed the right instruments for Medieval, Renaissance and Regency dancing too. They effortlessly blend traditional material with original tunes so you won’t know where the traditional and the modern meet. When given the freedom of ceilidh, expect driving tunes and a sound way bigger than two people should by rights create. If you’re up for multitasking, there may be choruses to sing while you’re still dancing!
Sarah Petts is a ceilidh caller with over ten years’ experience, known for her clear, cheerful and inclusive calling style. She creates a relaxed, fun atmosphere where everyone—from complete beginners to seasoned dancers—feels confident on the floor. Sarah uses non-gendered calls and has performed at events and venues including Folk East, Cecil Sharp House, Sidmouth, Oxfolk, and the Aldeburgh Festival.
This ceilidh is also supported by Folk in the City.
