Discovey Martial Arts is hosting their annual BuyuKai seminar! BuyuKai translates to "gathering of martial friends" and that is exactly what it is. The premise for the seminar is simple... "show your martial friends what is really interesting to you in the art currently".
Lead by Hanshi John Poliquin, multiple high ranking instructors will teach what they are currently "discovering" in the art. This could be something on the ground, a new take on kata, a unique weapon......we don't know until they take the floor to teach. Typically, during a BuyuKai, you can see up to 10 different instructors in a weekend!!! Seeing different viewpoints about the art is an incredible way to deepen your knowledge and skill. Over teh last 2 decades+ we have done this....it's wound up amazing everytime. You also might even be asked to show something YOU think would be beneficial for everyone to know!!!
In addition to a ton of training, we plan social events around the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) so everyone can unwind and get to know each other off the mat. The weekend starts off un-offically on Friday night with Shihan White opening up the dojo for anyone who happens to be in-town early and wants to get a jump on training. On Saturday, we officially start bright and early with Hanshi John Poliquin.
We love training with anyone in the art and do not care about affiliation. If you train in ninjutsu, or even if you train in another art, you are MORE THAN WELCOME!!
