Join Edinburgh Refugee Sponsorship Circle, in collaboration with Student Action for Refugees (STAR), and Care 4 Calais Scotland for the opening of Building Belonging Together — an exhibition celebrating belonging, community, and the strength found in diversity.
This exhibition shares the beauty of community sponsorship and the powerful role that local communities play in welcoming newcomers. Alongside this, it offers deeply personal stories and reflections on how diversity enriches all of us — not just those who arrive, but those who welcome too.
📅 Monday 2 March
🕡 7 pm – 8:30 pm
📍 Out of the Drill Hall, Edinburgh
Come along for an evening of connection, conversation, and creativity as we open the exhibition together. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the artworks, hear about the stories behind them, and take part in an interactive exhibition that invites visitors to add their own reflections and contributions to the artworks throughout the week.
🗓 Tuesday 3 March – Friday 6 March
🎟 Free and open to the public
During the exhibition week, you can also book a guided tour led by a volunteer and one of the people who has been resettled through community sponsorship. These tours offer a unique opportunity to hear first-hand experiences and deepen your understanding of community-powered resettlement.
