Technology is everywhere today, but only a tiny fraction of students are learning how to create technology. Brothers Code is part of the larger movement to introduce youth to tech as part of National Computer Science Education Week.
\nThe Hidden Genius Project invites young people of color in middle and high school to join the 13th Annual Brothers Code event, Saturday, December 13, 2025, located at Drew Charter School Junior/Senior Academy, 300 Eva Davis Way SE, Atlanta, GA 30317.
\nThis event is meant to expose young people to skills and networks that can guide them to exciting opportunities within the tech sector.
\nAt this event, youth participants will:
\nWe will also host a concurrent program for adults! We invite parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, counselors, champions, and any other interested adults to register to participate in their own simultaneous program. The adult sessions will help student advocates learn how they might support young people to pursue technology pathways (and participants will get to practice some of the technical skills as well!).
\nThere will also be a session for adult stakeholders to discuss how they might actively support youth entrepreneurs to leverage their skills and ideas to build out their own ventures.
\nWe will need general, non-technical volunteers to help with event set-up, people movement, food set-up and distribution, registration, and basic support of the program participants. We also need volunteers to support implementation of the youth and adult program sessions, which include technical skills activities, entrepreneurship projects, and exploration of career pathways.
