Botanical Glass Art: Dried Flower Hanging Workshop
Join us for an exciting and hands-on 2.5 hour workshop where you will create your very own dried flower glass hanger. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop will guide you through the fascinating process of working with glass.
Please note we are at unit 23 in The Bell Centre.
Guided by Sarah who will provide pre-cut glass for the session, she will discuss the pattern design for the day’s project, and provide step by step instruction on how to lay your flowers before putting your ornament together
Once your pieces are in place, you’ll clean, dry, and apply copper foil to prepare for assembly.
The final step is soldering to secure your ornament together and cleaning off any remaining flux. Pre-made jump rings will be provided so you can easily attach a hanger to your finished piece
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a beautiful glass ornament to hang in your window.
The session will include a health and safety briefing, covering essential precautions and an introduction to the equipment.

Sarah is originally from the North West, and now lives in Leicestershire with her husband, two daughters, and cat. Sarah’s background is in biological sciences and commercial horticulture, but she discovered stained glass after having her children and immediately fell in love with it. Sarah now works on her passion and takes commissions, specialising in pet portraits and geeky designs—if you can imagine it, you can probably make it in stained glass!

Parking
Parking is available in The Bell Centre Car Park. Please use the second car park entrance on St Marys Way.
Accessing The Bell Centre
To access the Bell Centre, use the green gates situated either from St Marys Way car park or from the town centre. We're located at Number 23.
