Books, Barbershops & Beyond is a dynamic literacy movement launched in Middlesex County by Sharpened Mindz powered by community partners Nu Trendz —including our newest partner, CCC! Inspired by the national Barbershop Books model, we transform local barbershops into vibrant reading spaces filled with culturally relevant, age-appropriate books for kids in the communities that need them most.\nEach year, we ignite the county with a free, high-energy literacy celebration giving free hair cuts.
