We are super-thrilled to announce the line-up for our February blues club – the second Wednesday of every month. Always brilliant evenings and this one promises to be a cracker. You all know how great The Swaps are. Many of you have seen Thomas Heppell, the supreme entertainer. They will be joined by Saint Senara. They performed here first on November 19th and it was one of our best gigs of the year. To have them all on one bill is a real treat!

Regulars will know that these sell out very quickly indeed. Normally within hours of being announced. Or an hour....

Finalists in the 2025 UK Blues Awards, The Swaps are Beth Brooks (vocals), James Knight (guitar and vocals), and Adam Phillips (guitar and vocals). They have been honing their blend of blues, soul and folk for many years in different line-ups but have recently found the real magic (and national recognition) as an acoustic trio.

The Swaps build most of their music around Beth’s jaw-dropping vocals and the instinctive guitar interplay between James and Adam. The dynamics and variety of textures they achieve with only two instruments and three voices is astonishing. All three are songwriters, which perhaps explains the variety and exceptional quality of their material.

As ever, there will be an extended jam at the end, unrehearsed collaborations and the excitement of seeing talented musicians perform together for the very first time in our brilliant basement blues bar.
