
BLACKOUT CONCERT is a reflection concert born from the Ukrainian experience of darkness due to Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian power plants. The darkness into which our cities are plunged during blackouts, and at the same time, the darkness into which the power of creativity is born. The power of resistance. Fortitude.
This evening, modern academic music is played in a blackout format - with minimal lighting, as a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian musicians who continue to create and perform in the face is shelling, air raids and power outage.
The program of the concert includes music by Ukrainian composers of the new generation and modern composers all over the world like Victor Rekalo, Katja Suglobina, Emre Şener, Che Buford and others.
After the concert, there will be an informal
conversation about the life of musicians during the war, as well as communication about everything that will be important this evening.
