Creed (2015) follows Adonis Johnson, the illegitimate son of legendary boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. Determined to prove himself and step out of his father’s shadow, Adonis leaves his stable life and travels to Philadelphia to seek out his father’s old rival and friend, Rocky Balboa. Reluctant at first, Rocky agrees to train him, and together they build a powerful mentor–student bond that echoes the friendship Rocky once shared with Apollo.

As Adonis rises through the boxing ranks, he battles not only fierce opponents but also questions of identity, legacy, and belonging. When offered a chance to fight for the world title under his father’s name, Adonis must decide what truly defines him — his heritage or his own heart.

The film blends emotional drama and thrilling sports action, exploring themes of perseverance, mentorship, and the courage to create one’s own destiny.
