Ahead of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch join TCV to learn or refresh your bird identification.

The RSPB Big Garden Birdwarch is perhaps the most popular citizen science project in the UK. It asks participants to spend 1 hour observing and counting the birds they see in their garden or local greenspace. This survey is great to do with small children, a group of friends or peacefully on your own. To sign up and get free resources follow this link: Big Garden Birdwatch

During this guided walk we will head around the Botanic Gardens and look at the bird life we see. You will hear useful ID tips, learn about identification apps/guides and hopefully leave feeling confident to take part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch the following weekend.

This event is open to all ages and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring with you We have some binoculars but please feel free to bring your own.

What to wear - Please check the weather, we will be outside so wear appropriate clothing and shoes

Where to meet - the walk will begin and end at the Kibble Palace, pictured below. Please use the bathrooms on site before attending the walk as we will be starting sharp on arrival.

NOTE - In the event of a weather warning this event will be cancelled in line with TCV and Glasgow City Council's risk assessment.
