Together, we’ll gather in community - weaving presence, connection, support, holding space for one another in an atmosphere of warmth, safety and care.

Schedule

6:45 – 7:00 PM: Arrival and tea (doors close promptly at 7:00 PM)
7:00 – 7:30 PM: Grounding in
7:30 – 8:30 PM: Sharing circle
8:30 – 9:00 PM: Grounding out
9:00 – 9:30 PM: Optional stay and chat

What to Expect

Our Community Circle is a gentle, welcoming space for connection, reflection and shared humanity.

We begin by arriving together over a cup of tea, before moving into a short grounding-in practice. This may be a guided meditation, listening to music in silence, a simple breathwork exercise, or a gentle visualisation - always something supportive to help us arrive fully and settle into the space.

The heart of the evening is the sharing circle. Each person is invited to share what feels present for them. You may wish simply to be heard, or you may ask for what you need - whether that’s reflections, gentle feedback, insights, a song, hand-holding, or quiet listening. There is no expectation and no “right” way to participate.

We close with a grounding-out practice to help gently integrate the evening before returning to daily life. This may be a short meditation, a poem, shared silence or a simple ritual.

Afterwards, there is time for light conversation and connection. You’re welcome to stay and chat, or to leave quietly if that feels right for you.

We’re really glad you’re considering joining us. This Community Circle is a space of gentleness, reflection and connection. You’re welcome just as you are - whether you come to share, listen, or simply be.

Below are a few simple guidelines that help us hold the circle together.

Our Circle Guidelines

Confidentiality – What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.

Respect – Every voice and experience is valued. We listen without judgment and without offering unsolicited advice.

Presence – We invite everyone to arrive on time and be as present as they can.

Choice – Sharing is always optional.

Compassion – We meet each other with kindness and curiosity.

Community – Together, we co-create this space and hold one another with care.

House Notes

Arrival: Doors open at 6:45 PM and close promptly at 7:00 PM. Unfortunately, we’re unable to admit anyone who arrives after 7:00 PM, as we begin together as a group.

Phones: Please switch phones off or fully to silent (not vibrate) during the circle.

Silence: At times we’ll be in shared silence and we practice one voice at a time. When someone is speaking, we ask that others listen in silence unless invited to respond.

Seating: We’ll be seated on the floor for most of the evening. Chairs are available if needed - please email womenscircleoxford@gmail.com in advance to let us know.

Bathroom: The bathroom is located upstairs and requires using steps.

Thank you for helping us create a calm and held space for everyone.

About the Space Holders

As two people on our own unique paths, we feel deeply called to create spaces of connection, authenticity and care. While we each bring our own experiences and practices, what unites us is a shared intention: to hold a circle where people of all genders can gather safely, speak honestly and be reminded of the strength that comes from community.

With warmth,
Isabella & Silvia xx
