BIG LIGHT - Print from 35mm Negatives in the Darkroom
To celebrate the launch of BIG LIGHT, Merseyway Workshop's brand new photographic darkroom, we are hosting an exciting series of photographic and thematic workshops, made possible with support from UKSPF.
In this printing workshop, photographer Ela Skorska will guide you through the process of creating test strips, enlarging and printing photographs from 35mm film.
If you have an already-developped roll of 35mm film, you can bring this along to make prints from. If not, that's absolutely fine - Ela will provide some of her own film to use. Alternatively, we are also hosting a photography and development workshop the previous Saturday on the 24th, which will conveniently leave you with an exposed and developped roll of 35mm, perfect for this workshop!
The workshop will take place between 10AM-5PM.
10AM-12PM: Introduction, overview and making test strips.
12-1PM: Lunch break
1-5PM: Printing photographs, adding borders, using filters for contrast.
This is a FREE workshop requiring a £10 deposit which will be returned to you upon your attendance of the event. We do it this way to prevent no-shows. If payment of the deposit will be a barrier to your participation in the event, please get in touch and we will be happy to come to another arrangement.
Spots for this workshop are very limited. In the event that you are no longer able to attend, we ask that you let us know by email (info@merseywayworkshop.com) with as much notice as possible so that we are able to transfer your ticket to somebody else, rather than your spot going to waste.
This workshop contributes to a programme of events running alongside Amoeba's exhibition at Stockroom, launching on 29th January.

• We are within a short walk from Stockport train and bus station. Parking is available at the Merseyway Shopping Centre NCP.
Refunds and Booking Terms
• This is a FREE event with a refundable £10 deposit, which will be returned to you upon attendance of the event. Please only book a ticket to this event if you are available and fully committed to attending the event.
