Lauren leads collaborative sustainability and innovation initiatives including the Circular Fashion Innovation Network and multiple academic-industry projects focused on sustainable manufacturing and UK recycling infrastructure. She builds strategic partnerships across the UK and internationally, represents UKFT at global events, and has launched UKFT’s innovation membership offer while coordinatining the annual UKFT Sustainability Conference. Holding an MA in Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsiblity and a PhD in sustainable fashion consumption from LCF, she brings deep expertise in circularity and innovation and is driven by a commitment to transforming the fashion and textile industry through sustainability-led innovation.

Muchaneta has a background spanning fashion publishing, PR and innovation. She has authored deep-dive research for LVMH Atelier, spoken at major global industry events including Global Fashion Summit, Premiere Vision, and COP27 and COP28. Muchaneta contributes as a senior writer to The Interline and Vogue Business. Alongside her industry leadership, she chairs the Culture and Creative Industries Taskforce, serves as a UNFCCC Global Innovation expert, lectures at LCF and collaborates with institutions including the Royal College of Art, bringing strategic insight and a strong commitment to advancing sustainable, innovation-led change across the fashion sector.
