Beyond Prestige: A Low-Intervention Wine Tasting Series (Session 4)

Beyond Prestige is a wine tasting series rooted in intention — where wine becomes a conversation with the land.

Shaped by my personal time with winemakers in Portugal and the UK, alongside my WSET Level 3 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, each session offers a slower way to experience wine beyond labels, rules, or status. We explore how wine reflects place, farming choices, and time — and how our own perception can soften and open when we taste with attention.

All wines are carefully selected from boutique, sustainable producers. Some are low-intervention, made with little to no added sulphur and fermented with natural yeasts.

Each session begins with a refreshing glass (Vinho Verde or Pet Nat), followed by a white and a red. I’ll share the story of the land and the winemaker, while you’re invited to notice flavours, textures, and how the wine evolves in the glass. There’s space for reflection, discussion, and quiet enjoyment. Light complementary snacks will be provided.

I'm still firming up the wine list, but they'll be wine from the following vineyards:

1. Casa De Mouraz (Portugal): Award-winning family winemakers, in process of land conversion to fully biodynamic)
2. Limeburn Hill (UK): Leaders of natural and biodynamic agriculture in the UK
3. Monte Luna (Portugal): Focused on wine reflecting the Atlantic elegance, from Arruda DOC, one of Portugal's most ancient and best winemaking regions
