Facing climate, tech & resource crises, our forum aims to unite science, ethics, and policy to reimagine fair governance for Earth’s future

As climate change, biodiversity loss, resource scarcity, pollution and emerging technologies reshape our world, the need to connect science, ethics and governance has never been more urgent. This forum brings together scientists, ethicists and civil society to explore how advances like AI can be guided by ethical insight and responsive policy. Together, we’ll ask bold questions, share perspectives, and reimagine fair, effective stewardship of our planet’s future.

NoRCEL’s next Blue Earth Project hybrid event BEP2026 takes place on Saturday 7 March 2026, and everyone is warmly invited to join us either in person or online. Running this event has become increasingly costly, and since we’ve only a very limited budget, we’ve needed to introduce a small registration fee of £10 to help cover essential expenses. Your support ensures we can continue offering our Blue Earth Project as an independent, volunteer-led community service that remains open and accessible to all.
