On Saturday the 28th March we are excited to host Belfast Community Gospel Choir with us as part of ourt 200th anniversary celebrations. We look forward to a JOY filled evening as we approch Holy Week.
A warm welcome will await all those attending this evening!
Hailed as ‘the soul of Belfast’ the Belfast Community Gospel Choir (BCGC) has literally taken Northern Ireland by storm. They arerelentless ambassadors for the city of Belfast and the whole of theprovince as they spread the message of love, joy and peace through their music.
BCGC performances are charged with passion and energy and the sheer JOY they exude from the stage is infectious. If you love foot-stomping, hand-clapping music, mixed together with well- known classic songs and a good helping of laughter, then BCGC certainly delivers! Led by their charismatic director and founder, Dr Marie Lacey, the sound that the choir produces is nothing short of dynamic.
In 2009 Marie’s dream was to create a choir that, through unityand inclusiveness, would promote a positive image internationally of Belfast and Northern Ireland. Her dream has certainly become a reality as the choir is an expression of the diversity of theprovince with members from Nigeria, South Africa, Poland and Spain.
The Choir’s resume is impressive including many TV Appearances, performances for Heads of State, Royalty, Corporate and Civic functions, Weddings and Charity & Church concerts. Internationally they have performed in New York City, Boston and Indiana.
