(Belated) World Cancer Day Crafty Fundraiser
Hi, my name is Loz and I am a person living beyond Leukemia. For this year's World Cancer Day the lovely Leah and wonderful Ice Shack are helping me put on a fundraiser for some amazing charities that have supported me personally, but also thousands of people across the country during all parts of their cancer journey.
Resources will be provided for making beaded braclettes and also decorating seed paper that you can take home to go and plant! Both of these are lovely and easy crafty practises for rememberance and relaxation.
Please do also feel free to bring along your own crafts! Whatever it is you enjoy doing, or if you just want to donate some money and pop by for a yap - all are welcome.
All money from tickets and donations will go directly to the charities (apart from the tiny admin fee on Eventbrite - apologies!)
We will be raising money for OUTPatients UK (https://outpatients.org.uk/) which is the UK's only cancer charity specifically for LGBT+ individuals, as well as Mind Over Cancer (https://mindovercancer.org.uk/) who provide free mental health support and counselling to people age 0-29 who are experiencing cancer themselves, or are related to someone who is. Resources about these charities will be available on the evening and please feel free to have a chat about them!
