Beginning Acting 1, February7-March 14

In this 6 week course, students will learn the foundations of acting in a welcoming and supportive environment. Learn to be expressive, create fun characters, and be more confident on stage or as a public speaker.

Taught by San Diego-based teaching artist Jaeonnie Davis Crawford.

To be followed by Beginning Acting 2 in April 2026 for those who wish to continue.

Teacher Bio:

Jaeonnie Davis-Crawford is a theatre artist who was born and raised in San Diego and has a BA in Theatre Arts from SDSU. Having worked with varying types of theatre companies around the county for over a decade—from the beloved community forum theatre work of Imagine Brave Spaces, to the nationally renowned Old Globe Theatre—she has developed a multi-hyphenate skillset. From directing to acting to educating, her work seeks to reflect and instill her passion about telling imaginative stories that resonate with and reflect the cultural fabric of the community.
