Welcome to the colorful Mosaic Room for a fun-filled afternoon of creativity!

Join us on January 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM to explore various arts and crafts activities perfect for beginners.

I started the Soft Hobbies newsletter to help my readers connect with their creativity despite inner doubts and endless distractions.

As a writer and artist who struggles with perfectionism, time management, and impostor syndrome, I wanted to create a space to uplift and support others who deal with similar hurdles.

In late 2025, Soft Hobbies reached over 1000 subscribers!

This event is a celebration of how far we've come, and an invitation to the larger community to rest, play, and connect.

You don't need to know me or be subscribed to attend — you don't even need to identify as a creative person. Just come ready to try something new in a supportive, low-tech environment, and take home something you made with your own hands.

All supplies provided, but you're welcome to bring any projects you've been working on.

You can expect the following activities:

• Collage / scrapbooking
• Beaded bracelets or necklaces
• Watercolor greeting cards
• Paint by numbers
• Air-dry clay and polymer clay
• Coloring pages
• Collaborative drawing games
• More activities TBA!

The cost of this event exists to offset the costs of venue rental and supplies. Paid subscribers to Soft Hobbies get in free, and do not have to purchase a ticket.

I'm not turning a profit on this :) just want to celebrate and hang out with my community!

EVENT RULES:

1. Respect the space. We are guests in the Mosaic Room and should treat the venue with care.
2. Every attendee needs to purchase a ticket, unless they are a paid subscriber to Soft Hobbies. We will be checking tickets at the door.
3. No food or alcohol in the space. Water and other non-alcoholic beverages are welcome.
4. Please arrive on time! The doors will be locked at 3:15pm, and no more entries will be allowed. This is to protect the calm energy of the space and allow the hosts to participate in the activities as well.
5. This event is 18+.
6. No pets, please. Service dogs are permitted.
