Aurora Art | Workshop (at Science and Engineering Day)

Join Astronomy students from the Physics and Astronomy department. Learn all about the Aurora and the research the Space Environment Physics (SEP) group do in Svalbard, Norway.

Make your very own scientifically accurate Aurora Art using the correct colours and the shape classifications from our 'Aurora Zoo' citizen science project.

Become an Aurora Zoo citizen scientist and take home your very own scientifically accurate aurora themed artwork.

You will also learn about the plight of the polar bears living in Svalbard, Norway and how Aurora research can be used to learn about our climate.

Workshop Times: 11:00; 13:10; 15:20

Run Time: 50 minutes

• a few additional tickets for each workshop will be available on the day at the Ticket Desk in the foyer of B46, on a first-come-first-served basis;
• in case the tickets for this show and other timed activities are sold out, please note that there are more than 150 activities to enjoy during the day!
