Auditioning for drama school? Want some help with audition technique? This is the one day intensive for you!

Skye Hallam is an actor, acting teacher, director and writer. Skye currently teaches at LAMDA, RADA, Central, Arts Ed and various other top drama schools and training programs. Skye has also sat on the BA, MFA and Foundation course audition panels at LAMDA. From September 2025-January 2026 Skye took on the post of acitng teacher on the MFA Acting program at the Globe Theatre, teaching classical text and stage craft and directing students in Shakespeare's plays.

Skye has been coaching actors on a 1-1 basis for the past 9 years on a variety of topics including:

  • Meisner technique
  • Laban technique
  • Audition technique
  • Classical Text
  • Acting for Camera

Past students that have worked with Skye have been offered places at RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall, Arts Ed, Royal Welsh, Royal Scottish, The Lir, Rose Bruford, Central School of Speech and Drama and Oxford School of Drama. Skye also coaches professional actors in prep for roles on a range of projects from feature films through to fringe theatre.

Skye also regulalry runs courses and drop in classes in Meisner technique, one of the leading acting techniques taught across UK and internaitonal drama schools #MeisnerwithSkye

On this 1 day intensive you'll get the chance to:

  1. try out audition speeches in a mock audition situation in front of other participants
  2. work with other auditionees in 2 practical, skills based workshops
  3. work on contemporary duologues using Meisner technique
  4. get 1-2-1 advice and feedback on audition speeches and work throughout the day
  5. learn skills and tips that will help you ace your next audition
  6. participate in a Q&A on what audition panels are looking for

TO PREPARE:

  • In order to get the most out of this 1 day course, participants must prepare 2 contrasting speeches of no more than 2 minutes in length. These can be both contemporary or classical speeches, or one of each.
  • Participants will also be sent a 1 minute contemporary duologue to prepare in advance and will be instructed on which role to learn.
  • Participants are adivsed to wear comfortable clothing that they can move in (workout gear in plain colours and with no big logos is preferable).

Spaces on this course are limited to 14 participants in order that everyone has the chance to share their work and take part in every activity
