Auction a Friend – Charity Edition is a full Unhinged speed dating + singles mixer, kicked off with a live comedy-style auction where friends pitch their single friends on stage.

Think:

• 🎤 Short, funny presentations
• 🎟 Audience bidding (for prizes + an optional meet)
• 💬 Then actual speed dating and mingling afterward

🧠 How the Night Works (Big Picture)

1. Mingle & warm up
2. Live Auction = entertainment + icebreaker
3. Speed dating & open mixer = real connections

You do not need to be auctioned to participate in dating.

🕒 Event Timeline

6:30 – 7:30 PM — Check-In & Open Mingle

• Grab your nametag & base bidding tickets
• Mix, mingle, grab drinks
• Explore the space & two game rooms

7:30 – 8:45 PM — Auction a Friend (Live Show)

• Up to 10 singles are presented on stage (≈5 minutes each)
• Friends pitch them using Google Slides
• Audience bids using ticket bundles
• Winning bidder receives:
• 🎁 A prize (concert tickets, axe throwing, chocolates, etc.)
• 💬 An optional meet/date with the single
• (If no date happens, the bidder still gets the prize)

No presenter? Unhinged will present for you.

8:45 – 9:00 PM — Reset & Mini-Mingle

• Decompress after the auction
• Light mingling & games

9:00 – 10:00 PM — Speed Dating & Singles Mixer

• Light rotations + free-form mingling
• Game rooms stay open
• This is where most connections happen
