Join us in person for a fun afternoon of arts and crafts to learn about Palestine and show solidarity!
While children are busy with hands-on activities, Parents for Palestine and Maslaha - a charity challenging structural racism and supporting Muslim children in education - will facilite a workshop for parents on supporting Palestine in schools. What do we - children and parents - have the right to do in our schools to show solidarity? What has been the reaction from schools in London the last couple of years? What can be done in case of pushback?
We will end with some dabke dancing. Dabke is a a powerful expression of cultural identity and resilience in Palestinian culture.
This event is organised by an informal group of parents living in Stoke Newington with children going to various local schools.
The event is free. Donations are welcome to help cover the costs of the venue.
