Join Artbae + Zoe-Elle + The Baltimore Young Professionals for the official opening reception of Heirs & Architects, Building What Was Denied, a group exhibition honoring the enduring legacy of Black creativity in Baltimore while uplifting the artists actively shaping what comes next.
As we close out Black History Month and move intentionally into Women’s History Month, this reception invites guests to gather in celebration of lineage, imagination, and cultural continuity. Baltimore stands as both archive and catalyst, a city layered with resilience, resistance, and creative force. In this space, memory informs creation, and legacy becomes a blueprint rather than a boundary.
To be an heir is to carry forward what was fought for, preserved, and dreamed into existence. To be an architect is to envision beyond imposed structures and build with intention despite the weight of history. This exhibition lives at the intersection of inheritance and innovation, honoring the continuum between those who paved the way and those designing the landscapes ahead.
Guests are invited to enjoy the gallery throughout the venue, connect with the artists, and experience an immersive reception featuring:
