This evening was created for people who may be curious about collecting art or interested in purchasing their first piece of original art, but have questions they’ve been too intimidated to ask, whether that's about galleries in general, pricing, process, or simply how to begin.

What to expect:

• A first look at SGG's latest exhibition before it opens to the public
• Lite bites and beverages
• A welcoming environment where questions are encouraged
• No pressure to buy and no expectation to “know” anything
• A surprise guest: a brief, informal speed Q&A with an SGG artist
• All artwork in the exhibition will be priced $1,000 and under.
• Your ticket price will be applied toward any artwork purchase, should you decide to take a piece home (offer valid for night of event only)

SGG Gallery owner, Sarah, will be present throughout the evening to welcome guests and answer questions. She’ll share how she started collecting herself, what she wishes she’d known earlier, and why she opened Sarah Gormley Gallery - to create the kind of space she wished had existed when she started collecting art.

The artist Q&A will be short, conversational, and designed to humanize the process - how artists think about their work, pricing, and what it means when someone takes a piece home.
