Join us in Launceston for an inspiring art show celebrating creativity and women's health awareness!

Join Us at the Launceston Women's Health Art Exhibition & Health Promotion Event

Get ready for an inspiring event, rarely seen in Cornwall, filled with beautiful art and a strong focus on women's health. This in-person event brings together the artistic creations of people that have participated in the Launceston Women's Health Community Art Project in 2024-2025 and the wonderful organisations that support and care for women in the area.

Almost 100 pieces of individual and original artwork have been produced, expressing the feelings, emotions and narratives of participants around the topic of women's health and the female body. Learn more and develop a greater understanding of the experiences of people in our community and how this may compare to your own or others that you know.

As part of this community art project, people of rural Cornwall have had the opportunity to truly express themselves in this manner about subjects that are often stigmatising and taboo.

Also at the event will be a range of community organisations ready to share their wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting women. Organisations will include SH:24, Infant Feeding, Parenting Team, Castle and Coast Women’s SupportGroup, Women’s Centre Cornwa,, Kernow Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnership, Healthy Cornwall, Wild Young Parents, NHS Cancer Services and West Devon and East Cornwall Breast Screening Service.

Whether you're an art lover or passionate about promoting health awareness, this is the place to be. Don't miss out on this vibrant community experience in Launceston!

Content notice: This exhibition contains artistic depictions of naked bodies, female genitals, pregnancy and pregnancy loss, birth trauma, mental health difficulties, menstruation, cancer journeys, misogyny, gynaecological disorders, menopause, neurodiversity.
