Are You a Cultural Christian?

Following on from our hugely successful event on The Rise of Christian Nationalism in the UK and the US, the Woolf Institute, the National Multifaith Youth Centre, and Lucy Cavendish College are delighted to invite you to our next event, 'Are You a Cultural Christian?'

This event will explore what people commonly mean by the term cultural Christianity, and examine the often-unnoticed ways Christianity has shaped everyday life, including democratic systems, moral norms, and wider social structures in the West and beyond.

Each panelist will be invited to speak for 5–7 minutes, followed by a short Q&A with the chair. We then hope to spend the majority of the evening opening the discussion to questions from the audience. As with our previous event, the aim is to provide a thoughtful and accessible space for Cambridge students to engage with themes they may have encountered online or in the news, this time focusing on cultural Christianity.
