Join us in the Chapter House of Lincoln Cathedral for an enchanting evening of anonymous music inspired by the liturgies of compline and requiem. Interweaving choral sound, solo voices and small ensembles, the programme offers a contemplative reflection on ephemerality, memory and absence. Do not miss this unique opportunity to be transported into a world of sound, mystery and reflection in a breathtaking setting.
During the day, an exhibition of photography by Richard Hall exploring anonymity will be on display in the Chapter House. Richard will speak about his work, and ANON’s Artistic Director, Thomas Wilson, will give a lecture on anonymity and the arts.
We will also be launching ANON’s first book, a new collaborative publication between Richard Hall and ANON bringing together poetry, photography, and reflective and academic essays. Copies will be available on the day in a limited first run.
The daytime exhibition and talks are open to cathedral visitors and are included with standard cathedral entry. Tickets for NOCTURN relate to the evening concert only.
Access to the concert will be through the main doors at the west end of the cathedral.
Please be aware that parking near the cathedral may be limited, as Minster Yard is closed to road traffic for the Frequency Festival.
Complimentary tickets are available for a companion accompanying a visitor with additional access needs. Please contact us in advance to arrange these tickets.
