We're thrilled that BAFTA-Award winning writer James Alistair Henry will be joining us following the release of his debut novel, Pagans.

James' previous accolades include being a part of the writing team for Smack The Pony, Green Wing, Bob the Builder and Hey Duggie. Not to mention being a Waterstones bookseller in a previous life! He has now turned his hand, very succesfully, to novel writing.
Focussing around an alternative contemporary Britain threatened with political turmoil by efforts to unite three separate peoples - the Celtic West, Saxon East and the powerful independent Nordic Kingdom of Scotland into one country: a United Kingdom. The novel follows the investigation of a serial killer as characters from the differing areas are brought together out of necessity.
Pagans explores contemporary themes of religious conflict, nationalism and prejudice. A gripping novel, with lots to discuss about how it goes hand in hand with our current society.
