Few journalists have tracked America's political transformation as closely or as clearly as Mara Liasson.

As NPR's national political correspondent since the early 1990s, Mara Liasson has reported from the frontlines of Washington through presidencies, scandals, shutdowns and social revolutions. She's witnessed the transformation of U.S. politics from policy debate and deal making to hyperpartisan information warfare. Through it all, she has remained one of the most trusted and unflinching voices in American political journalism. Hosted by KQED's Mina Kim, the voice of the 10am show "Forum." Proceeds from the presentation of Mara Liasson and Mina Kim benefit the Napa Valley Newsgroup, a nonprofit organization that brings important news, stories and features created by writers and editors in Napa Valley. Congressman Mike Thompson will make a guest appearance.

Before joining the Forum team, Mina Kim was KQED's evening news anchor, and health reporter for The California Report. Her award-winning work has included natural disasters in Napa and gun violence in Oakland. Kim grew up in St. John's, Newfoundland.
