When the demands of the job clashed horribly with my personal values, I noticed I had the same repetitive daydreams… slow mornings with eggs on toast and a cup of tea; working on a valued project at my own steady pace; cooking a lovely lunch and going for a walk with my dog; leisurely gym trips or runs that weren’t squeezed in after parents evening or first thing before school.And that was just the start - I missed my (multifarious) hobbies, quality time with my friends and family and the brain space to be creative! Coupled with a doctor’s note for chronic burnout and a resounding ADHD diagnosis, it felt like my gut was screaming at me to change pace.
So I listened! As I’d already done a couple of times before, I swiftly took action to change paths and move towards a more aligned future.Now a part-time Careers Adviser for a top Brighton Sixth Form and starting my intentional, soul-led business from scratch, it turns out I’m quite good at getting going on building a life and career I love.
