The Ball is a Black Tie event with dinner offerings, live entertainment presenting the Soul Society of Alaska Band, featuring singing artist Dawn McClain, and DJ Marv bringing the music.

Your sponsorship will directly contribute to the historical preservation, archiving, and public recognition of ten distinguished Alaskans whose contributions have shaped government, justice, civil rights, military service, business development, community leadership, and cultural advancement across the state.

This year marks the First Annual Alaska’s Black History Makers Ball, a formal Black-Tie event hosted on February 28th at the Anchorage Museum, presented by Mt. McKinley Lodge No. 2 PHA in partnership with

the Anchorage Museum. This celebratory event will feature:

An elegant dinner, Live entertainment by the Soul Society of Alaska Band Special performance by vocalist Dawn McClain, and music by DJ Marv.

Historical presentations and archival previews

Your participation ensures these pioneers receive the recognition they deserve, while also supporting the long-term preservation of their stories for future generations.

Your generous contribution will help defray major archival and production expenses, including:

• Professional studio interviews

• Historical data collection & digitization

• One-year Honoree Family Membership to the Anchorage Museum

• Two tables at the History Makers Ball (one for the honoree’s family and one for your organization)

Honoree Sponsor — $2,500

This sponsorship level provides:

• One-year Honoree Family Membership at the Anchorage Museum

• Two tables at the event: one reserved for the honoree and one for your organization

College / Youth Sponsor — $1,000

Support academic engagement and youth involvement:

• One table (8 seats) to host students or youth representatives

Supporter — $250 to $900
