Join us for a Convene Community Conversation at the George Washington Carver Museum, created specifically to center the voices, experiences, and leadership of the African American community in Travis County.
This gathering is a space for Black community members to come together in an honest, respectful conversation about substance use. Substance use is shaped by many realities, like housing, access to care, stress and trauma, neighborhood safety, social connection, and the systems that impact daily life. This conversation is about naming what’s happening, what’s missing, and what support should look like moving forward.
What to expect:
Food and refreshments will be provided.
Your voice will help inform future work through Convene, including recommendations and community-driven next steps to strengthen substance use and recovery supports across Travis County.
