
This course will help activity and care staff adapt activities to be inclusive and meaningful for everyone. It focuses on understanding individual strengths, preferences, and needs, providing practical ideas to make activities accessible in care homes, hospitals, and community settings.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Explain how individual needs and care settings affect participation and recognise how different abilities, physical, cognitive, emotional, impact engagement and how to adjust activities accordingly.
2. Identify barriers to participation and adapt activities in a person-centred way and address physical, cognitive, and environmental challenges to ensure everyone can take part.
3. Explore practical, interactive activity ideas to suit different needs and preferences and learn adaptable activity ideas that engage people of all abilities and make participation meaningful.
4. Reflect on how adapted activities support wellbeing, dignity, and positive experiences and explain how inclusive activities promote dignity and enhance the overall care experience.

Registration will begin 9:30am with the training starting promptly at 10am
Course Fee: £55 per person - Includes certificate of completion and post-course resource pack. A light lunch will be provided
